Millie Bobby Brown Reveals Epic Grease Dance & Raye Performance at Wedding
Millie Bobby Brown's Grease Wedding Dance & Raye Reveal

Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has delighted fans by sharing intimate new details about her wedding to husband Jake Bongiovi, including a spectacularly choreographed Grease routine and a surprise performance from a major British popstar.

The Six-Minute Grease Spectacular

Appearing on the Dish from Waitrose podcast with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, the 20-year-old actress explained that her history of performing at family gatherings inspired the decision to create a memorable first dance. "I grew up doing so many dance routines at pretty much any family gathering," Millie revealed.

She knew immediately after Jake's proposal that they needed something special. "When Jake proposed I was like: 'We have to learn a dance routine. We'll remember it forever,'" she told the podcast hosts.

Initially, the couple considered recreating the famous lift from Dirty Dancing but quickly realised the potential for disaster. "Originally we were gonna do Dirty Dancing, and I was like, 'Oh my God, if you get that lift wrong, it's too much,'" Brown admitted.

Instead, they opted for a high-energy Grease medley that lasted an impressive six minutes. The performance included transitions between 'You're the One That I Want,' 'Summer Nights,' and 'We Stick Together.' Completing the transformation, the couple dressed as Sandy and Danny from the iconic film.

From Dance Floor to Live Performance

Millie expressed particular pride in her husband's commitment to the routine, noting that Jake - also an actor - threw himself completely into the performance. "We did not miss one beat," she declared. "I do not regret that one bit. It was like we put on a show."

But the entertainment didn't stop with their theatrical opening. Following their Grease medley, British music sensation Raye took centre stage for a live performance that added another layer of magic to the celebration.

An Intimate Family Affair

The ceremony itself was believed to be a cosy gathering for immediate family members, with both sets of parents in attendance. Millie and Jake, who got engaged in 2023, were rumoured to have exchanged vows last year.

While the initial wedding was an intimate affair, the couple is expected to host a larger celebration later this year for friends and extended family members, though specific details remain private.
