Reuben Owen's Life in the Dales co-star has spoken candidly about an emotional moment that was "hard" to film. Last week's episode of the Channel 5 series saw the young farmer's friends Sonny and Capper courageously open up about the grief they've experienced and their mental health struggles.
In a tearful exchange, they broke down as they paid tribute to friends they've lost and the "challenging" times they've endured from a young age. As they addressed men's mental health, they pledged to raise funds for a charity, revealing how they've both required support themselves in recent years.
Capper Shares Emotional Video
Sonny subsequently took to social media to express his gratitude to fans, and Capper has now followed his lead. He shared a video from a project he's currently working on, noting it had been a hectic week and he was battling against the "wet and gloomy" weather.
Capper continued: "I hope you all enjoyed watching our show on Tuesday night. It was a hard one to film, but it's been well worth doing. The positive feedback that we've had has been unreal."
He added: "It struck a chord, it really did. I sound soft again but thank you very much, what we've raised so far has been brilliant."
Nearly £4,000 Raised for Charity
He echoed Sonny's sentiment that "every little helps", adding: "You may be proud of us, but we're proud of you." He captioned the post: "Thanks for all your kind comments and generous donations, it really means the world to us. We've raised nearly £4000 now! ! !"
Supporters rushed to share their encouragement in the comments, as one wrote: "Amazing show and you lot are amazing people - keep doing what you are doing, you have so much support and love." Another commented: "You guys are ALL an inspiration to EVERYONE! Thank you for sharing your lives. Such a feel good programme. Remember, you are not alone."

During last week's Life in the Dales episode, Capper revealed: "When you lose someone, it's hard. It's not nice, so you need somewhere to be where you can just have a moment to yourself."
He continued: "We've both been through it, we've dealt with the mourning of family members and best friends. I first dealt with it when I was seven years old, and my best friend when I was 16. He was only 18 when he passed.
"My pal died in a road accident, and I was with him 20 minutes before he died. It was a right wet night, it was horrible. He drove there and never made it back home. About half an hour later, I got the phone call... it was nasty. He was there, and then he's not."
He went on to express his gratitude to Sonny and their mutual friends for their support, before Sonny broke down in tears, remembering his close friend. He shared: "I lost my pal, unfortunately, to suicide."
Wiping away tears, he went on: "He was like a brother. I was speaking to him the night before, got the phone call the next morning. They couldn't bring him back."
Capper replied: "It's ok to not be ok, everyone has their battles, and I'm very lucky I've got you, boys." Talking about their charity project, Capper added: "I think our pals would be proud of us."
