Kim Kardashian Reveals Co-Parenting Struggles With Kanye West
Kim Kardashian's co-parenting struggles with Kanye

Reality television star and business mogul Kim Kardashian has publicly detailed the profound challenges she faces while co-parenting her four children with former husband Kanye West.

The 45-year-old SKIMS founder aired her frustrations during the latest episode of her Hulu series, The Kardashians, revealing the intense emotional toll of navigating a relationship with her ex-spouse.

The Emotional Toll of Co-Parenting

During a candid car journey with Scott Disick, the former partner of her sister Kourtney, Kim confessed to sometimes feeling on the verge of snapping due to the difficulties of her situation. The mother-of-four was married to the Chicago-born rapper from 2014 until she filed for divorce in February 2021, with the divorce being finalised the following year.

Scott Disick offered his sympathy, acknowledging the visible stress, stating, "I'm sorry about all that you're going through. It looks stressful. I mean, I see some stuff [online], and it's like, 'f**k.'"

Kim identified one particular point of contention as being especially frustrating: when Kanye questions her character as a mother. "Sometimes I just feel like snapping, but I can't. I just can't," the billionaire entrepreneur lamented, highlighting the restraint she feels she must maintain.

Shielding the Children and Maintaining Composure

Despite the challenges, Kim Kardashian insisted that her primary focus has been on fostering a healthy relationship between the Yeezy designer and their children: North, 12, Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, six.

When a producer noted that her "ex is very loud out there," Kim explained her strategy of non-engagement. "I just can't really engage. I think it's just for the better," she said, emphasising that her only focus and job is to remain strong and be the more consistent and present parent for their brood.

This is not the first time Kim has become emotional while discussing the complexities of shared parenting. In 2022, she broke down in tears on the Angie Martinez IRL podcast, explaining her efforts to protect their children from her ex's public outbursts. She compared her children's experience to her own idyllic childhood raised by her late father, Robert Kardashian, getting choked up as she stated, "S*** like co-parenting, it's really f***ing hard, you know?"

Addressing the Narrative and Moving Forward

Further insight came during an appearance on Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast in October, where Kim was asked about the last time Kanye saw their children. She replied, "Hmm. Whenever he'll call them and ask. It's probably been a couple months since we've heard from him."

Despite the erratic nature of their father's involvement in recent years, Kim strongly asserted that she has never once kept the children apart from him. She explained her reluctance to publicly refute narratives that she denies Kanye parenting time, stating she is "just not that girl online that's gonna fight back," though she confessed the situation is "not easy" and "really sucks."

Kanye West is now married to Australian model and architect Bianca Censori, 30. Kim Kardashian continues to navigate the delicate balance of managing her global business empire and being a single mother to her four young children, all while dealing with the very public complexities of her post-divorce relationship.
