Katie Price has finally addressed the origins of her glamour modelling name Jordan in her new documentary series Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, which premiered on Sky Documentaries and NOW on July 7, 2026. The four-episode series explores the controversial celebrity's journey, with the opening episode detailing how the moniker came to be.
The Origin of Jordan
In 1996, at age 18, Price registered with a modelling agency and was presented with a Page Three modelling opportunity for The Sun. She explained: "Every day, different girl going topless in the paper and they all had this girl next door look. Seems actually mad now when you look back at it but it was mainstream, it was normal."
Price described how the name Jordan was chosen during that shoot: "Anyway, this job was for The Sun. And he said, 'But we'll change your name for it.' We come up with different names, Emily, Lisa, Linda, all this. And he said 'What about Jordan?' And I said 'That'll do.' As flippant as that."
The Challenge of Dual Identity
Establishing this alternative identity brought challenges. In the second episode, Price disclosed: "The public would see me as Jordan. There was no existence of Katie Price. Everyone just wanted Jordan. So I would just give them Jordan."
She added: "It was only my family and friends who knew the real me. I suppose it's affected me in life going forwards because people just see me as an 'It girl', a f**k girl, mother from hell. Not girlfriend material or a girl you'd want to take home to your parents."
Price reflected on the lasting impact: "The thing is, Jordan is me but it's only a part of me and that's where it gets difficult."
Katie Price: Nothing to Hide is available to watch on Sky Documentaries and NOW.
