The 51-year-old Today show star was spotted this past Sunday soaking up the sunshine on Noosa Beach alongside his brother, Sky News reporter Peter Stefanovic, and sister-in-law Sylvia Jeffreys. The trio enjoyed a refreshing swim in the ocean before taking a leisurely stroll along the shoreline, laughing and chatting animatedly.
Stefanovic cut a casual and contented figure, walking barefoot in the sand wearing a pair of dark board shorts that highlighted his transformed frame. He appeared happy, healthy, and thoroughly relaxed as he gestured with his hands during conversation, frequently breaking into wide grins.

This carefree beach scene stands in stark contrast to a moment that served as a major catalyst for Stefanovic's health journey. The outing comes roughly a year after he candidly addressed an infamous 'dad bod' photo that sparked a blunt intervention from his billionaire best friend, James Packer.
Appearing on The Kyle and Jackie O Show in November 2024, Stefanovic recounted how a picture of him emerging from the surf in Byron Bay in 2019 led Packer to send a direct text message. "There's a shot of me on Christmas Day or whatever coming out of the surf, and it was bad," Karl admitted. "James Packer sends me a note that says, 'Mate, you need to get your a*** to the gym.'"
He acknowledged that receiving such a note from Packer was a serious wake-up call. This wasn't his first public commitment to fitness; back in 2020, he pledged to lose 10 kilograms in 10 weeks on the Today show after revealing he weighed over 100kg, a personal high he found "incredibly embarrassing."
While initially humbled by the confronting images and Packer's message, Stefanovic noted that his wife, Jasmine, has always been supportive of him. His recent appearance on Noosa Beach, however, suggests he has taken the advice to heart, now presenting a fitter, healthier, and evidently happier version of himself to the world.
