The new West End production of Jesus Christ Superstar, featuring pop star Sam Ryder in the title role, has confirmed a major UK tour starting in February 2027. The tour will launch at Manchester's Palace Theatre on Thursday, February 11, 2027, and will visit 22 cities over seven months, concluding in October 2027.

Sam Ryder, who gained fame as a singer and represented the UK at Eurovision, has been earning widespread acclaim for his performance as Jesus Christ in the current London production. The rest of the cast for the tour has yet to be announced.

Production Details

The musical features music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. It is directed by Tim Sheader, with choreography by Drew McOnie. The tour extends the current residency at the London Palladium, which runs until September 5, 2026, followed by a stint at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane from October 16, 2026, to January 9, 2027.
