ITV has released a first glimpse of The Chase Around the World, a new global spin-off of the long-running quiz show The Chase. The series will see six pairs of contestants travel across the globe to track down all six Chasers, who are hidden in diverse international locations.
Format and Mission
Drawing on general knowledge, observational skills, and intelligence, contestants must solve puzzles and riddles as they discover landmarks and culturally significant sites. The final pair to reach each destination must face the Chasers head-to-head to stay in the competition. The ultimate destination will see surviving contestants battle for a life-changing prize against the remaining Chasers.
First Look and Host Comments
In an Instagram video, host Bradley Walsh announced: "The Chase is going global. Six chasers, six pairs of contestants and one epic chase. Because in this game, the more you know, the further you go. If you want to star in the game, you're going to have to take on the best in the world." The clip shows contestants racing through destinations including Rome and Brazil, with one woman on a boat and others dashing up steps. It ends with a close-up of Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan and Mark 'The Beast' Labbett in front of the Sagrada Família in Barcelona.
