ITV has quietly dropped all four seasons of the popular Canadian legal drama Family Law on its streaming platform ITVX, as of Sunday, June 21, 2026. The series, starring Victor Garber and Jewel Staite, has been labelled "addictive" by fans who say they are "in love" with the show and never want it to end.
Plot and Cast
The series, which first launched in 2021, follows members of a dysfunctional family who reluctantly work together at their father's law firm to help other equally dysfunctional families. A synopsis reads: "Family Law follows Abigail Bianchi (Staite), a high-functioning recovering alcoholic whose legal career is in tatters after a very public, very messy meltdown. Forced to work for her estranged father, Harry Svensson (Garber), Abigail must navigate the chaotic world of family law while attempting to build relationships with the half-siblings she has never met."
The ensemble cast includes Zach Smadu and Genelle Williams, both known for The Expanse and Bitten. There are four seasons in total, with the fourth and final series originally airing in Canada in January 2026.
Critical and Fan Reception
Family Law boasts an impressive score among critics and reviewers, with 7.4 out of 10 on IMDb and 74% on Rotten Tomatoes. One fan wrote: "This show is an absolute marvel. It is quirky, has fun characters with lots of depth, and a family that is both broken and loving at the same time at its core." Another added: "Family Law is one of those shows you never want to end so you can watch the once estranged family grow into a complete one."
