Plot and Premise
The series centres on suburban mother Angela (Froggatt), whose apparently perfect life is shattered after an encounter with a mysterious stranger. According to the official synopsis, Angela appears to have it all: a lovely house in suburban London, volunteer work at a dogs' home, two wonderful sons, and a charismatic husband, Olivier (Michiel Huisman). However, beneath this façade, Angela is a victim of domestic abuse.
Trapped in an abusive relationship, Angela is approached out of the blue by Ed (Samuel Adewunmi), a private investigator who reveals Olivier's darkest secrets. Faced with horrifying truths about her husband, Angela must decide whether to trust Ed and escape her life.
