The Foo Fighters have landed in Liverpool for what will be the only two shows in the UK as part of their 2026 stadium tour. The Dave Grohl-fronted group are currently on the road for their Take Cover 2026 stadium tour, which kicked off in Oslo on June 10. It will include two dates at Anfield Stadium on June 25 and 27 before heading across the rest of Europe.
Extreme Weather Warning Issued
Fans have already been issued with extreme weather advice for the two shows after a red warning for temperatures was issued this week. It is thought that Liverpool could see highs of 38°C this week.
Pop-Up Merch Shops Open
Similar to how the band celebrated their shows at the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground in June 2024, the Foo Fighters have opened two special pop-up shops in Liverpool for fans to skip the concert-day queues and get their hands on exclusive merchandise early. Located within the LFC Anfield store on Walton Breck Road and the LFC Liverpool One store on South John Street, the two stores will be open from today (June 24) until Saturday (June 27).
The LFC Anfield Store will be open until 5.30pm today, and from 9am to 11.30pm on Thursday and Saturday. On Friday, it will be open from 9am to 5.30pm. The Liverpool One store will be open from 9.30am to 8pm between now and Friday. On Saturday, it will be open from 9am to 7pm.
Merchandise on Offer
Like at the shops for the Manchester shows, there will be a selection of vinyl records on offer (priced at £35) across the band's back catalogue, including their latest album, Your Favourite Toy, which was released earlier this year. According to the ECHO, there will also be scarves, caps, hoodies, polo shirts, and T-shirts on offer priced between £25 to £80.
But the main draw will be a series of limited edition items which are specific to not only the current tour, but also the Anfield shows. Like the Manchester Bee-featured poster on sale at the Old Trafford gigs, there is a Take Cover 2026 poster featuring a bird and aliens available for £40. There will also be a black Anfield Stadium t-shirt (£35) which has a huge monster with a guitar inside Anfield Stadium, as well as a series of space ships flying above. The t-shirt also has Foo Fighters Liverpool Anfield Stadium across it with tomorrow's date (25/06), with another edition set to be released for the Saturday show on June 27.
Previous Surprise Gig
Earlier this year, the American band caught Manchester fans by surprise by announcing an intimate one-off gig in the city at short notice. Held at the O2 Ritz on February 27, fans had to turn up at the venue in order to buy tickets to the show, which was then hailed as being a night to remember. In the M.E.N's glowing review, the show was praised for having the 'most feral moshpit I think I've ever witnessed' and for being 'the most wonderfully wild "audience with" you could possibly have dreamt of'.
