We do briefly see who the victim of the crime is, with a flash from a photograph being taken at the scene.' The nature of the crime remains a mystery, but speculation includes a robbery or a villainous act.
Charity Dingle Exposes Dr Todd's Blackmail
Charity Dingle finally confesses the truth to police about Dr Todd blackmailing her prior to his sexual assault on her. The insider shared, 'Charity knows it's time to tell the police the full story. But she’s left fearful when DS Reid warns her that the blackmail allegation will be treated separately from the sexual assault charge. This worries Charity and she regrets revealing the truth.' Charity fears Todd may escape justice if the cases are separated. Despite her troubles, she insists on attending Leyla’s christening, with partner Mack trying to support her.
Serena Sugden Raises Suspicion
New arrival Serena Sugden sparks suspicion in Sarah by asking questions about killer John Sugden. 'Serena's been around for a week now, and suddenly she's asking questions, and mentioning killer John Sugden,' the insider said. 'Sarah is alarmed to say the least. How would Serena know about John, and what is she bringing it up for?' Later, Sarah discovers Serena has been living out of her car and offers her a place to stay.
Kev Townsend Returns with Bombshell News
Kev Townsend is back in the village after the kidnapping drama involving his son Lewis Barton. He confides in Claudette Anderson about his issues with Lewis. 'Claudette allows him to stay with her and Charles, and it's then that Kev drops the bombshell that he is Lewis' dad. He's heartbroken that Lewis wants nothing to do with him, and so he considers running away again.' Claudette advises him he is a good man who deserves his family. Kev also reunites with Robert Sugden, months after their dramatic sword-wielding showdown. 'The last time Robert saw Kev, he'd just been waving a sword around, threatening him and Aaron. But Robert's left thrilled when Kev decides there's no point delaying things, suggesting they get the ball rolling on their divorce! Could it be a hint the Robron wedding could happen soon?'
Kev vs Nicola and Other Storylines
Kev is less friendly with Nicola King, who catches him using water from the toilets to clean his trailer and is determined to get him out of the village. Meanwhile, Cain discovers Kyle has Graham’s watch and demands to know why. Graham reveals Kyle was the fire starter, and Cain confronts Kyle. It is also teased that Kev and Serena know each other, as Kev recognizes her.
