The drama began when Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) decided to confront Caitlin about her rape of Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins). Acting on advice from Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill), who urged quiet revenge, Mack slipped out of the village and travelled to Sheffield without telling anyone.
When Mackenzie confronted Doctor Todd, she denied all claims, insisting the sex was consensual and branding Charity a liar.
