Emmerdale spoilers disclose what unfolds next between Mack Boyd and Dr Todd following Tuesday's dramatic cliffhanger. Soap viewers will remember that recently Dr Todd sexually assaulted Charity Dingle after weeks of blackmailing her over the true parentage of baby Leyla.
Charity has been coping alone since reporting Dr Todd to the police and in recent scenes she courageously confided in husband Mack about everything that had taken place.
DS Reid Takes Statement
During Tuesday's double bill of episodes due to the FIFA World Cup 2026 schedule, DS Reid, portrayed by Angela Lonsdale, consented to record a statement regarding the serious blackmail accusation but cautioned that it would be handled separately from the sexual assault charge, leaving Charity disheartened that it may have all been for nothing. Shaken, Charity confessed that she regretted disclosing the truth, convinced she has failed to protect Sarah Sugden and that Dr Todd will still evade a sexual assault charge.
Mack's Self-Destructive Behavior
Mack grew worried when Charity insisted on maintaining a brave front and attending Leyla's christening despite her difficulties. Yet at the Christening after-party, Mack was consumed by the secrecy and in a self-destructive manner attempted to provoke a fight with Kev Townsend. Kev refused to retaliate but instead urged Mack to clarify his behaviour. Mack astonished himself by revealing that Charity had been unfaithful to him, to which Kev then encouraged Mack to seek revenge on whoever has wounded his family.
Cliffhanger Confrontation
The episode concluded with Mack turning up at Dr Todd's Sheffield office, primed for a confrontation, leaving viewers on a nail-biting cliffhanger. Spoilers now reveal what unfolds next, as Dr Todd flatly denies the claims, asserting their encounter was intimate but not assault, while attempting to manipulate Mack with persistent lies and a seemingly apologetic facade. Mack, however, refuses to be swayed, vowing to see her imprisoned for the rape of his wife.
Todd remains smug as security personnel arrive, prompting Mack to issue a chilling final warning, promising to kill Todd if she ever touches Charity again. As the week progresses, police turn up to question Mack... just what has Dr Todd set in motion, and will Mack emerge from this unscathed?
