Coronation Street actor Ryan Mulvey, known for playing Brody Michaelis, has been confirmed to appear in a pantomime at Liverpool's Epstein Theatre later this year. The 20-year-old, who also played JJ Osborne on Hollyoaks, will star in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from 5 December 2026 to 3 January 2027.
Role on Coronation Street
Since arriving in Weatherfield last year, Mulvey's character Brody has been involved in gripping storylines, including his father Mick Michaelis going to prison for killing fan favourite Craig Tinker and discovering that Kit Green is his biological father.
Pantomime Announcement
An Instagram post from the Epstein Theatre confirmed the news, stating: "We’re delighted to reveal that Coronation Street favourite Ryan Mulvey will star in this year’s spectacular family pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at The Epstein Theatre! Packed with laugh-out-loud comedy, dazzling costumes, stunning special effects and plenty of festive magic, this promises to be the biggest Christmas panto of them all!"
Fans showed support in the comments. Savanna Pennington, who plays his on-screen sister Joanie, wrote: "Yes bro I can't wait to see this." Another fan, Diana, said: "Aww can’t wait to come watch," while Allen added: "Deffo need to get tickets for this when I get paid."
Other Soap Stars in Pantos
Mulvey is not the only soap actor in a panto this year. Emmerdale's Bradley Riches will star as Peter Pan at the Sunderland Empire. ITV recently changed its rules to allow Coronation Street and Emmerdale actors to participate in pantomimes, having previously prevented them from taking on outside projects.
Coronation Street airs tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
