Coronation Street spoilers for next week will reveal Christina Boyd's closely-guarded secret. In recent weeks, Christina, portrayed by Amy Robbins, has been raising eyebrows on the cobbles with her suspicious behaviour and mysterious phone calls.
Initially, soap fans speculated it might be connected to Theo Silverton's murder, as Christina was named amongst the suspects. However, following Sarah Platt's unmasking as the real culprit last week, Christina's secret is set to come to light in the coming episodes.
George's Suspicions Grow
In forthcoming scenes, as George Shuttleworth offers his apologies to Summer Spellman for ever suspecting her of Theo's murder, Christina heads off to put the kettle on. Her phone suddenly buzzes and upon clocking who is calling, her expression falls and she hastily rejects the call.
Later, when George proposes a romantic meal at the Bistro, Christina declines, claiming she has taken on an additional cleaning job, leaving George deflated, reports the Daily Star.
Glenda's Discovery
Meanwhile, George's sister Glenda Shuttleworth remains unconvinced about Christina, prompting her to rummage through her handbag — and what she uncovers leaves her stunned.
The following day, a worried George grows increasingly concerned about Christina's conduct and decides to tail her to the precinct to get to the bottom of things. His worst fears are seemingly confirmed as he watches in horror while she meets a mystery man and embraces him. An incensed George storms over and demands an explanation...
Christina's Revelation
Later, Christina reveals to George the full extent of her difficulties. Providing guidance, George urges her to be honest with her friends and trust they will be understanding.
Actress Amy, 55, arrived on the cobbles in 2023 as Christina, the mother of Daisy Midgeley. Daisy, portrayed by Charlotte Jordan, departed the cobbles in 2025. Amy is most recognised for her role as Dr Jill Weatherill in The Royal from 2003 to 2011. Additional credits include Defence Barrister Milligan in Emmerdale in 2022, Caren in EastEnders in 2019 and Lynette Drinkwell in Hollyoaks in 2017.
The actress also portrayed Police Sergeant Rachel James in the BBC One hospital drama Casualty for one series, and featured in the BAFTA-winning television film My Beautiful Son alongside Julie Walters.
