Todd has endured a traumatic storyline involving abuse at the hands of his boyfriend Theo, and fans are unhappy about the direction the show may be taking.

Todd, a character on the ITV soap since 2001, has been central to a harrowing plot exploring domestic abuse in a same-sex partnership. Over the past year, Todd's boyfriend Theo (James Cartwright) manipulated and abused him, controlling every aspect of his life.
