Corrie fans fume as Jodie Ramsey uses Ryan Connor

Coronation Street fans have expressed fury over Jodie Ramsey's latest manipulation, accusing her of committing her 'worst crime yet' after she used Ryan Connor for a date to provoke her sister's husband, David Platt.

Jodie's manipulative date scheme

In Thursday's episode (June 25), Jodie was seen scrolling through a dating app and matching with Ryan Connor. When she learned from David that he would be meeting Nick Tilsley at the Bistro, she changed the venue of her date to the same restaurant. During the date, Jodie showed little interest in Ryan's compliments and small talk, instead focusing on David across the room.

Viewers took to social media to vent their frustration. @Soaplandtv tweeted: 'Jodie playing with Ryan’s feelings? No, No, No! #corrie.' @thechannelbootss commented: 'Jodie's committed her worst crime yet using ar Ryan like that.' @LadyReignFC posted: 'Oh Jodie has gone too far now! Ryan is very mature & very muscle-y!!! And she's saying that to David who she has been trying to seduce. David is definitely immature & definitely not muscle-y #corrie.'

Ryan ends the date

However, fans were relieved when Ryan suggested they remain friends at the end of the date. @soulswarla posted: 'I’m so glad it didn’t work out and Ryan put Jodie in the friendzone! Ryan deserves much better than her that’s for sure.' @multifangiirl added: 'So relieved Ryan told Jodie they should just be friends.'

Jodie's history of troubling behaviour

Jodie has been a mysterious figure since her arrival, first seen tied up in a van driven by Emmerdale's Graham Foster during a multi-vehicle pile-up. She quickly moved in with sister Shona and her family at No.8 Coronation Street, but has repeatedly tried to sabotage Shona's marriage to David. Her other antics include sneaking into Bernie Winter's home, cutting her face out of a wedding photo with Dev Alahan, and stealing a book from Brian Packham. She was also suspected in a murder plot and briefly moved in with Daniel Osbourne, only to be exposed as his online troll.
