Coronation Street star Aaron McCusker has revealed that Eva Price could be the one to destroy teacher Megan Walsh in the upcoming court trial centered on a controversial grooming plot. Eva, played by Catherine Tyldesley, returned to the soap last year and has been embroiled in drama, including a feud with mother-in-law Maggie and the revelation that her stepson Will had an illicit relationship with his teacher Megan.
Eva's Determination to Seek Justice
McCusker, who plays Will's father Ben, explained that while Ben struggles with the situation, Eva is hellbent on making sure Megan faces her crimes. "Ben is still potentially not sure exactly what went on... Actually Eva is the one who has really got the bit between her teeth during all of this and is determined to make Megan pay for what she has done," he said.
The trial follows heavy implications that Megan (Beth Nixon) had a relationship with Will before his sixteenth birthday. McCusker described the ordeal as "difficult" for the family, noting that Will still won't admit he was groomed. Ben doesn't blame himself but knows he should have seen it coming, focusing on supporting his son.
Family Dynamics and Future Drama
Despite the tension, the crisis has brought Ben and Eva closer as a couple. "It's brought them closer. When Ben's down, she's the one pulling him up," McCusker added. He also teased more drama ahead, as Megan remains a master manipulator who has fooled the entire family. The trial outcome is in the hands of the jury, but the family feels they have exposed Megan for who she truly is.
Coronation Street airs Monday to Friday at 8:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream from 7am on ITV X.
