Cassie Plummer struggles with the return of Tyrone Dobbs' father Ross Wilkes, while Chesney Brown and Gemma Winter receive troubling news about their son Joseph's school fees.
Betsy's Collapse and Hospital Dash
On Wednesday July 15, Betsy is found unconscious and rushed to hospital for an MRI. When Dylan arrives, Betsy suffers a seizure. Lisa immediately blames Dylan for Betsy's condition. Despite Betsy's pleas for Lisa not to blame him, Lisa confronts Dylan in the café and then heads to the police station to report a crime. On Friday July 17, Lauren Bolton tells Dylan that Betsy doesn't want to see him, and Dylan is arrested in the precinct. Later, Dylan retorts that he believes Brody Michaelis is behind Betsy's injuries.
Sarah's Confession and Kit's Actions
On Monday July 13, Sarah confides in Maria that her marriage is in tatters. Kit remains suspicious of Gary and Maria Connor, but Lisa reminds him he is off the Theo case. Sarah confesses to Kit that she killed Theo. Kit then sets about ensuring she remains free, calling in Gary Windass. On Wednesday, Kit tries to find out who is in the frame for Theo's death. On Thursday, Kit tells Sarah that Gary must hand over his phone so Kit can wipe it of incriminating evidence. On Friday, Kit asks the guy tasked with wiping Gary's phone for access to his email address, and DC McLaughlin tells Lisa they are about to arrest Theo's killer.
Cassie's Blackmail and Ross's Return
Cassie continues to struggle with the re-emergence of Tyrone's dad Ross. Terrified of the truth behind Tyrone's birth being revealed, she tries to take him on but is outmatched. On Monday, Bernie Winter approaches Cassie with a kind ear, and Cassie admits she is being blackmailed. On Wednesday, Tyrone picks up on tension between Cassie and Steve and is horrified by what he discovers. Cassie warns Tracy Barlow about Ross after he spends the night with her. On Friday, Ross tells Tracy he wants to cool their romance and threatens Cassie. Cassie is thrown out by Tyrone and considers telling Steve the truth.
Chesney and Gemma's Troubles
On Monday, Chesney and Gemma are rocked by Joseph's poor school report. On Wednesday, they are heartbroken to learn that Linda can no longer afford Joseph's school fees. On Thursday, Bernie balks when they discuss getting a loan. On Friday, Linda calls to say she has found the money, bringing them joy.
Christina's Consequences
On Thursday, George Shuttleworth and Christina return home to find Mary Taylor selling household items Christina recently bought. Mary reminds Christina that the items were bought on a card bearing her name, so they are her property. Christina's habit continues to control her.
