In upcoming Coronation Street scenes, Sarah Platt will be arrested for the murder of Theo Silverton, but she may not be the only one held accountable for the crime. The arrest comes after weeks of tension following Theo's death, which was revealed to viewers last month as Sarah's doing.

Theo's lifeless body was found by a horrified Betsy Swain in April, triggering a murder investigation. Initially, suspects included Todd, Summer, Gary Windass, George Shuttleworth, Christina Boyd, and Theo's ex-wife, Danielle Silverton. However, in June, viewers learned that Sarah was the killer, and she later confessed to Todd. Meanwhile, police officer Kit Green remained determined to pin the murder on Gary, unaware that Gary was covering for Sarah.

Meanwhile, Maria spots a photo from Carla's wedding showing Gary in the background, proving he wasn't at the builder's yard as he claimed. With Sarah behind bars, Kit struggles to parent Harry and gets help from Sarah's ex-husband Adam Barlow. Maria tells Gary she'll have to retract the false alibi she gave the police. Shona and David's joy at Harper coming home from the hospital is short-lived when news of Sarah's admission reaches them.
