Coronation Street viewers finally learned the truth about Theo Silverton’s death earlier this week, and now another resident is in on the secret. During Monday’s tense dinner party episode, flashbacks revealed that Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) was responsible for pushing Theo to his death. She immediately called Gary Windass (Mikey North) for help, and the pair have been covering up her involvement ever since.
Gary’s Slip Leads to Todd’s Discovery
DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) has been pressuring Gary, convinced he is the murderer. In Thursday’s episode (June 25), a heated confrontation erupted between Gary and Kit, with Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) stepping in to mediate. However, Gary accidentally hinted that the killer was closer to home than Kit realised, planting suspicion in Todd’s mind. Later, Todd confronted Sarah at her flat, urging her to stop lying.
After some hesitation, Sarah confessed everything to Todd. She explained how the incident occurred and her reasons, but Todd was devastated. He left the flat, leaving Sarah to hit rock bottom and drown her sorrows at the Rovers Return. Todd wrestled with whether to go to the police but eventually decided against it, telling Sarah in the Rovers Beer Garden that he loved her too much to see her imprisoned. However, he ended their friendship, stating they were over.
Sarah’s New Discovery
Although relieved to avoid arrest—for now—Sarah remains in a dark place. However, Thursday’s episode also saw her make a major discovery about the attack on her that same night. The details are yet to be revealed, but it could change everything for her character.
