Coronation Street spoilers have revealed the outcome of Megan Walsh's trial, with the jury delivering a verdict that could end her stint on the ITV soap. Evil Megan, played by Beth Nixon, made her debut last year as the athletics coach of Will Driscoll, who moved from Hull to Weatherfield with his family.
Megan's Grooming Crimes Exposed
It was later revealed that Megan had secretly been grooming 16-year-old Will for months before his move. She was also pregnant with his child, with the pair planning to move away together. The truth came out, and Will reported Megan to the police, leading to her arrest.
Since then, Megan has shown no remorse and even tried to manipulate Will into changing his story. This week, the trial took place, with lawyer Adam Barlow pleading the twisted paedophile's case.
Will's Testimony Shocks Court
In Tuesday's episode (June 30), Will crumbled while giving evidence. After locking eyes with Megan, he shocked everyone by changing his story, lying that there was no relationship and that Megan had done nothing wrong. The jury was sent home, but the prosecution hoped to put Will back on the stand.
Meanwhile, Will's dad Ben took the stand and was brutally cross-examined by Adam. Megan conjured up more lies, painting herself as innocent and questioning Ben's parenting.
Will Decides to Tell the Truth
Spoilers for the rest of the week reveal that Will tells his family he wants to tell the full truth if allowed to testify again. He enters the witness box and prepares to give evidence. Later, the Driscolls return home and tell brother Ollie that Megan's fate is now in the hands of the jury.
Verdict Delivered
In next week's episodes, Ben takes a call informing him that the verdict is in. Eva gives him a supportive squeeze, and in court, the jury delivers their verdict. But has justice been served?
