Coronation Street fans are buzzing with theories about Betsy Swain's upcoming storyline, with many suggesting an ectopic pregnancy could be in store for the troubled teen as she plots her exit from Weatherfield.
Betsy's Exit Plans Unfold
Earlier this month, after being confronted by a gang who mentioned the murdered Mason Radcliffe, an emotional Betsy confided in her love interest Dylan Wilson. The reminder of her former boyfriend's tragic death hit her hard, prompting her to share plans to move forward. She later revealed to best mate Lauren Bolton that she had been offered a place at a fashion college in London.
Betsy eventually broke the news to Dylan, who advised her to tell her mum Lisa and stepmother Carla Connor-Swain. While Carla was delighted for her Underworld protégé, Lisa was more apprehensive about the move.
Actors Tease Major Storyline
Liam McCheyne, who plays Dylan, previously told Inside Soap: "It's going to be quite a big 2026. I've got a nice storyline to get my teeth stuck into, which is great. It'll be quite a lot of work with Sydney [Martin, who plays Betsy]. It's very coming of age. It's a subject storyline, which is obviously Corrie's speciality – it's one thing the show is amazing at. So I'm very excited for that."
Sydney Martin told Digital Spy in April: "Dylan and Betsy have been through a lot together. There's beautiful moments to come. They're polar opposites; she's this ticking time bomb that could go off at any time, and he's quite grounded and sweet. That can create some quite funny scenes, because there's that natural comedic element of them being so different, but also some beautiful ones. I'm also excited for Liam to get his chance to shine."
