Casualty Brings Back Dylan's Father After 8 Years in Shocking Twist
Casualty Brings Back Dylan's Father After 8 Years

Dylan's Relapse Leads Him to Estranged Father

Dylan Keogh (William Beck) spirals following his relapse in Casualty. In this week's episode, he heads to see a very familiar face. Beloved character Dylan had a drink after his keynote speech, witnessed by his son Matty Linlaker (Aron Julius). Tensions between Dylan, Matty, and Stevie Nash (Elinor Lawless) have been high since Dylan discovered Stevie and Matty's affair and reported it to Flynn Byron (Olly Rix). Stevie faced losing her career but was reinstated, much to Dylan's horror. Last week, Stevie grew concerned and went to Dylan's boat to find him. A passerby told her Dylan had left in a hurry, and later scenes showed Dylan driving with a bottle nearby.

Brian Keogh Returns After Eight Years

In Saturday's episode of the BBC One medical drama, Dylan arrives at a care home to see his father, Brian. Brian, originally played by Matthew Marsh, hasn't been seen since 2018. The character is deeply flawed and neglected Dylan as a child. During his 2018 return, Brian visited Dylan to make amends. After claiming he had stopped drinking, Brian drove Dylan to a pub and bet he could resist alcohol. There, Dylan told his dad about breaking up with Ciara and losing their child. Brian apologized for his past treatment. Dylan then dared Brian to have a drink, and Brian eventually hit the bottle after a comment about making a sacrifice for his son. Outside, they argued, and Dylan punched Brian, who hit his head on a table and lost consciousness. Dylan panicked as David Hide (Jason Durr) and Zsa Zsa Harper-Jenkinson (Sharon Gless) arrived. Zsa Zsa reluctantly performed a makeshift burr hole to remove a blood clot, saving Brian's life.

A New Actor and an Unexpected Turn

Brian returns played by actor David Beames. Dylan tells his dad that he is the reason he will never be a proper father to Matty. However, Dylan's visit takes an unexpected turn. The episode airs Saturday on BBC One.
