A 20-year-old woman from Halesowen in the West Midlands has become an instant millionaire after winning the largest prize in British quiz-show history on ITV's Win Win with People's Postcode Lottery. Sienna McSwiggan secured the £1m jackpot on Saturday, October 11, along with two cars, two luxury holidays, a trip to Australia for The Ashes, and tickets to see Take That.
Sienna shared the heartwarming moment she told her mother, Lisa, about the win on TikTok, where the video has been viewed over two million times. In the clip, Lisa opens her front door to Sienna, who simply says, 'I've won. I'm a millionaire.' After a moment of shock, the pair, along with another relative, scream and dance with joy before sharing a touching hug.
'Nothing like this ever happens to us... for everything she's done for me, I did this for her,' Sienna wrote on TikTok. She added: 'Telling my mum who has gone through so much that I've won a million pounds on a TV show is the best feeling in the entire world.'
The interactive quiz show, presented by Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, saw contestants given the chance to swap prizes for a spot on the grand final's Millionaire's Row. In a previous episode, Sienna declined a holiday in the Maldives to gamble for the jackpot, a decision that paid off as she beat 18 other finalists.
Upon winning, Sienna told the hosts: 'I've literally got a penny in my account. I'm over the moon. It doesn't feel real. Life is really hard at the moment. The cost of living... It is a struggle. I've not grown up with privileges. This will help so much.'
