Love Island star Dani Dyer has withdrawn from Strictly Come Dancing after fracturing her ankle during rehearsals. The 29-year-old was partnered with professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin for the series.
Waterloo Road actress Tillie Amartey, who participated in the 2023 Christmas special, is reportedly in discussions to take her place. A source told The Sun that Tillie recently quit her role on the BBC school drama and has been meeting with TV executives.
However, a source close to the show told MailOnline that Tillie has had no contact with Strictly. The conflicting reports leave the replacement uncertain.
Head Judge Shirley Ballas expressed hope that a new celebrity would be found, stating on This Morning: 'We're a dancer down...let's hope they get somebody else.' Dani, who said she is 'heartbroken', will be cheering on her co-stars from home.
