The film, which began filming in December 2023, stars Connor Swindells from Sex Education and Olivia Holt from Disney. It tells the story of Sophia, an American who moves to London to care for her ill mother, and Nick, a recently divorced father. One of the most recognisable spots in the film is The Victory Pub on 27 Vyner Street in Cambridge Heath. This location serves as Sophia's workplace and is featured in the final scene before the credits roll, making it a key destination for fans wanting to visit.
Loughborough Hotel, Brixton
The production team put significant effort into transforming the Loughborough Hotel in Brixton into the opulent Sterlings London Department Store. This former entertainment venue, built around 1900, saw its grand exterior completely revamped for the film. Locals reported seeing filming crews and large numbers of extras on set in January 2024.
Heaven Café and Local Shops, Brixton
Just a short distance from the hotel, the Heaven Café in Brixton was converted into a fictional oyster restaurant called Atticus Oyster Co., which appears early in the movie. Next door, a real-life barbershop was transformed into a posh neighbourhood clothing store named L'Atelier de Dorothy, making the area a hub for the film's action.
