Rivals has made a comeback and so has Lord Tony Baddingham. The adaptation of Jilly Cooper's Rutshire Chronicles series first captivated audiences in 2024, and now it returns for a second season on Disney Plus.
What is Rivals About?
The series follows the intense rivalry between ex-Olympian Rupert Campbell-Black, played by Alex Hassell, and media mogul Lord Tony Baddingham, portrayed by David Tennant. After a scandal-filled first season, the 1980s comedy-drama returns with Baddingham seeking revenge against Rupert and his former employee Declan O'Hara, played by Aidan Turner. The new season promises even more drama as Baddingham plots to bring down their rival television company, Venturer.
How to Watch Rivals Season 2 in the UK
All 12 episodes of the new series will be available on Disney Plus, the UK home of Rivals. The streaming service offers several subscription options:

Episode Release Schedule
So far, only the first three episodes of Rivals Season 2 are available to watch. The next three episodes will be released every Friday, with episode four arriving on Friday, May 22. The release date for the remaining six episodes has not been announced yet, but Disney Plus has confirmed they will be available later this year.
Actress Victoria Smurfit, who stars in the series, teased what fans can expect: 'We shot 12 episodes, so it meant we could get deeper into the characters. We could get funnier, more outrageous, more heartfelt, more love - it's really juicy, and it's even better, if that's possible.'
