Isaac Ordonez, the 16-year-old actor who plays Pugsley Addams in Netflix's hit series Wednesday, has spoken about the 'unexpected' global success of the show and his expanded role in the second season. The new season, released in two parts, sees Pugsley join his sister Wednesday at Nevermore Academy, a development that has thrilled fans.
Ordonez, who was recently in London for the premiere, shared his surprise at the show's meteoric rise. 'Seeing the big success was amazing, but surprising. I knew the show was going to do well, but I don't think any of us expected it to boldly skyrocket like it did,' he said. The actor, who hails from Los Angeles and was homeschooled, also expressed excitement for viewers to see Pugsley's character development.
Beyond acting, Ordonez enjoys anime, playing guitar, and gaming, as shown on his Instagram. His previous credits include indie short films and a small role as a double for Charles Wallace in Disney's A Wrinkle in Time. Wednesday season 2 part 1 premieres on Netflix on August 6, with part 2 following on September 3.
