Warren Brown, star of the new ITV crime drama A Taste for Murder, has revealed that the show's Italian setting required last-minute schedule changes due to unpredictable weather, despite being filmed in Croatia.
Appearing on BBC Breakfast, Brown explained that while the series appears warm and sunny, the weather during filming was often poor. 'It looks a hell of a lot warmer on camera,' he said, adding that the production team would sometimes call late at night to move scenes indoors if rain was forecast.
The six-part series follows DCI Joe Mottram, played by Brown, who travels to the Italian island of Capri with his teenage daughter after his wife's death. There, he becomes involved in investigating a local murder and learns to cook from his in-laws, using culinary insights to solve crimes.
A Taste for Murder airs on ITV and is available to stream on ITVX. The second episode is due to air tonight, May 6.
