Audiences seeking a show that transports them to simpler times need look no further. Prime Video now offers a hidden gem of a series perfect for fans of Clarkson's Farm and Countryfile. Victorian Farm, originally broadcast on the BBC in 2009, follows a team of experts as they live and work on a farm as if in the Victorian era.
Behind the Scenes of Victorian Farm
The trio consists of archaeologist Peter Ginn, historian Ruth Goodman, and lecturer, archaeologist, and historian Alex Langlands. Each had distinct roles on the farm at the Acton Scott estate in Shropshire. The Acton family, who have resided there since the 12th century, provided farming tools and machinery from the Victorian era for the experts to use in the documentary.
Over the course of the docuseries, viewers observe the group's efforts to make the farm successful.
