Miriam Margolyes took the opportunity on Wednesday's episode of This Morning to gently tease fellow contributor Vanessa Feltz about her relationship status. The 82-year-old actress was manning the phone lines, answering viewers' problems, when she made the cheeky remark.
Sitting by the phones eating an onion, Margolyes glanced at her notes and said, 'Somebody’s in a relationship and after 25 how do they find a partner? I think Vanessa [Feltz] asked me that in the dressing room.' Presenters Holly Willoughby and Josie Gibson struggled to contain their laughter. Off-camera, Feltz could be heard responding, 'I did'.
The light-hearted moment comes after Feltz split from long-term partner Ben Ofoedu at the beginning of the year after 17 years together. She has since been open about her social life post-breakup, telling OK! magazine that she had been 'out every single night for 140 nights'. Feltz also appeared on reality show 'Celebs Go Dating', but described the experience as unpleasant, accusing producers of editing her in a negative light.
