Tyrone's dad Ross age 63 in sinister Cassie twist

Coronation Street aired chilling scenes between Ross Wilkes and Cassie Plummer as the family celebrated Ross's birthday. According to his character biography, Ross was born on 29 July 1963, making him 63 years old. Tyrone is 44 in December, while Cassie is 60.

Cassie's bombshell revelation

During the birthday party, after Tracy Barlow called Ross a 'real man', Cassie declared: "Like going out with a real man, do you, Tracy? You know, this real man, he didn't cop off with me. It wasn't a one-night stand. I was a 15-year-old girl, and he paid me for sex."

The family then confronted Ross while Cassie emotionally told son Tyrone: "I never wanted to tell you. I just couldn't stomach it anymore. Everyone thinking he was God's gift."

Ross's sinister threat

After apologising for his behaviour and begging to still be part of Tyrone's life, Ross later threatened Cassie, saying he'd kill her if she ever came between him and Tyrone again.

Ross had recently made his debut on the cobbles as Tyrone's long-lost and estranged father after Tyrone's daughters Hope and Ruby secretly sent off a sample of his DNA and traced him.

Cassie had previously encountered Ross at a hotel bar, where she did not recognise him immediately but later realised his identity upon seeing his name on the bill.

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV and ITV X.
