Roxy Wilson, the latest victim of murder on BBC's The Traitors, has spoken for the first time about how she and her mother Judy kept their relationship hidden during the show. The mother-daughter duo were exposed by host Claudia Winkleman in Thursday's penultimate episode, leaving the remaining contestants stunned.
Roxy, who was murdered in the episode, admitted it was difficult not to call Judy 'Mum' during the first episode's row boat mission. 'I did fear it would happen because that was the hardest thing – not being able to call her Mum,' she said. Despite the close call, Roxy managed to keep the secret until Judy's departure in episode two.
Speaking about the experience, Roxy said: 'It was so special doing it with my Mum and so when she left – that was a bit sad. But I was happy I had managed to get one over on the Traitors as they hadn't established and figured out that relationship.' She added that she never considered revealing the connection, especially after Judy was confirmed a Faithful, as it would have cast suspicion on her.
The fourth series of The Traitors has been airing since 1 January, with new twists including a Secret Traitor. Only Rachel and Stephen remain on team Traitor, with experts predicting Rachel will win the £100,000 prize. The final airs tonight at 8.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
