Celebrity Traitors viewers believe Maya Jama, James Acaster and King Kenny may have unintentionally set themselves up to fail after being declared the most trustworthy players by the rest of the group on Friday night's episode.
The latest mission saw contestants retrieve money bags from scarecrows and detonate them, leaving just three standing. Those three players were named as the recipients of a mysterious power, with The Dagger granting one player a double vote at the roundtable. The Traitors agreed the dagger was safest placed with social media star Kenny.
Fans question the Traitors' survival
The episode ended on a cliffhanger, with contestants forced to vote again between Sharon Rooney and Joanne McNally for banishment. However, fans have taken to X to suggest the fallout could be make-or-break for the Traitors.
@morris_movies asked: "What's going to happen when the three most trusted players, the pinnacle of the Faithful, all of whom are un-shielded, The Trustworthy Trio… all walk back into Breakfast un-murdered next week?" He added: "The only logical reason for that: they are all Traitors."
It is expected to be difficult for Maya, James and Kenny to explain their reasons for survival, especially given Julie Hesmondhalgh and Joe Lycett, who were deemed the most trustworthy in episode one, did not manage to swerve suspicions.
Faithfuls' trust could backfire
@Survivinthe20s noted how the Faithfuls' unintentional trust in the Traitors means they are unlikely to be voted off at a roundtable, leaving murder as their only option for elimination. @morris_movies added: "And now this should be the biggest clue! They've just pretty loudly said 'THESE ARE THE THREE PEOPLE WHO WILL NEVER BE BANISHED' and all three are about to walk in at breakfast.. You'd like to think…"
@SinghIsLFC said: "Yea how has the faithfuls not clocked on that Kenny and James A who are really good 'detectives/faithfuls' have not been murdered yet… 😂" Others suggested viewers are thinking too highly of the Faithfuls' abilities, with @WhoPotterVian quipping they "don't seem the brightest bunch".
@Smith_LoveWins said: "That would require the faithfuls to work together!", as fingers currently point in all different directions, accusing Sharon, Joanne, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, James Blunt and Sebastian Croft.
Maya's rogue vote raises eyebrows
Some fans believe Maya is the Traitor most at risk, since discussions are already being had about her name not coming up. She went rogue on Friday night and opted to banish Heartstopper actor Sebastian, going against the majority.
@shanfourmy wrote: "maya voting for bash…bad move methinks, you can see on his face how confused he is because it makes no sense considering the general consensus was either sharon or joanne and kenny didn't even vote for him!!" @LA_Way agreed it was a "big slip-up" from the TV presenter.
@dayasoinlove tweeted: "it's looking very likely we'll see our first recruited traitor wins in uk history!! and it'll be so deserved, i see no way kenny or james acaster get banished".
Maya is the only original Traitor left standing, having recruited a reluctant James after Richard E Grant's demise, followed by Kenny after Hannah Fry failed to convince the group of her Faithful status. With just two episodes remaining, it remains to be seen which, if any, Traitors will make it to the end and win the jackpot for their charity. The Celebrity Traitors continues next Thursday at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
