Channel 5 has confirmed that its hit detective drama The Game will return for a second season, following its success as one of the top-performing dramas of 2025. The cat-and-mouse thriller, starring Jason Watkins and Robson Green, has been renewed after fans clamored for more.

Season Two Details
Channel 5 confirmed in February that The Game would return for a second season. The new series will be set a year after the first and will see the return of Jason Watkins, Robson Green, Sunetra Sarker, Indy Lewis, and Amber James.
According to a synopsis, former detective Huw, after surviving a brutal stabbing, believes he has escaped the psychological grip of serial killer Patrick, now behind bars. Retreating with his wife Alice to an isolated house by the sea, Huw tries to rebuild a quiet life, but soon realizes peace is an illusion.
Season two began filming earlier in 2026 and is expected to air on Channel 5 later this year, though no official release date has been announced yet.
