Disney's 20th Century Studios has confirmed that The Devil Wears Prada 2 will debut on Disney+ and Hulu on 29 July. The sequel, which premiered in cinemas on 1 May, reunites key cast members Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci.
The film will be available to buy or rent on digital platforms including Prime Video and Apple TV from 28 June, followed by 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray releases. A DVD-digital bundle featuring the original film and the sequel, along with extra features, is set for 30 June.
Set two decades after the original, the sequel follows Andy Sachs (Hathaway) as she returns to Runway. Miranda Priestly (Streep) navigates a new media landscape while facing off against former assistant Emily (Blunt), now head of a luxury brand whose funding Priestly needs. New cast members include Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu and Simone Ashley.
The film was a box office success, grossing $682.1 million worldwide against a $100 million budget. Critics praised the sequel, with Radio Times awarding it four stars, describing it as 'bigger and bolder' than the cult classic and 'a thoroughly enjoyable reunion'.
