Release Date and Episode Count
The Crow Girl season two arrives on Monday, July 20, on Paramount Plus, exactly 18 months after the first season concluded. The second season consists of six episodes, matching the debut series, and the complete box set will be available to stream on launch day.
Cast and Returning Characters
Eve Myles returns as DCI Jeanette Kilburn, and Katherine Kelly reprises her role as Dr Sophia Craven. The series continues directly from the season one cliffhanger.
Season One Recap
The explosive finale revealed Dr Sophia Craven as the murderer Victoria. She had suffered abuse at the hands of her father, who also fathered her own daughter, Madeleine. After her father murdered the child, Sophia killed him. Dr Craven also murdered paedophile Carl Lowry (Trevor White) in hospital and locked her mother away in a concealed cupboard behind a bookcase for turning a blind eye to the abuse. When Jeanette sought solace at Sophia's home, their connection culminated in a kiss, and while the detective rested in bed, Sophia slipped away to look in on her captive mother.
Season Two Plot
The official synopsis reads: "As Jeanette digs deeper, Dr. Sophia Craven begins to suspect Victoria Burkeman, her mysterious former patient, could be responsible. As Jeanette and Sophia's relationship becomes increasingly complex and emotionally charged, the case places their trust and judgement under strain." New victims and new secrets are promised in the upcoming season.
