Netflix's 'Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen' Hooks Viewers from First Episode

Netflix's new eight-part horror miniseries, 'Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen', has been hailed as one of the platform's best releases in a long time, with viewers reporting they are hooked from the first episode.

The show, created by Haley Z. Boston and executive produced by the Duffer brothers of 'Stranger Things' fame, follows couple Rachel and Nicky in the week before their wedding. A series of disturbing events begin to unfold, initially framed as an atmospheric thriller before escalating into a gory, blood-soaked horror finale.

Film reviewer Luke Ecclestone, known as Eccy Reviews on TikTok, urged his followers to binge the series, calling it 'dark, intense horror' and 'one of the best shows Netflix have dropped in a very, very long time'. He added that viewers would be 'on the edge of their seat' throughout the eight hours.

However, some viewers found the early episodes slow, with one noting they 'got bored' before being advised to persist until episode four for more information.

'Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen' is now streaming on Netflix.
