Tess Daly has revealed she is working alongside her daughter Phoebe Kay, months after her Strictly Come Dancing exit. The presenter, from Stockport, stepped back from hosting the BBC One dance show at the end of the 2025 series in December alongside Claudia Winkleman.
Strictly Exit and New Project
Tess presented the series alongside the late Sir Bruce Forsyth when it launched in 2004, while Claudia fronted its weekday companion show, It Takes Two. Claudia later moved on to host the Sunday night results show with Tess and joined the main show every Saturday from 2014, after Sir Bruce stepped down.
After 11 years co-hosting Strictly together, Tess and Claudia announced their departure in October, midway through the last series, saying the "time was right". They hosted the show for the last time live during the final of Strictly's 23rd series on December 20, which featured tributes including from the Queen.
Working with Phoebe
Tess's family, including her now ex-husband Vernon Kay and their daughters Phoebe and Amber, were by her side as she bowed out. Now, the TV star has revealed she is working on something with Phoebe, who is 21.
Posting a picture of the pair on Instagram on Wednesday (August 5), Tess wrote: "No longer bring your daughter to work day, but working alongside her [love heart eyes emoji] @phoebeekay."

The comments soon came flooding in, with Claudia posting a string of heart emojis, as did drag star La Voix, while fellow Strictly 2025 contestant Vicky Pattison shared: "This is gorgeous [love heart eyes emoji]."
