The success was not limited to the UK. On August 5, Ted Lasso season 4 was the most-streamed program in the United States, with more than 200 million minutes watched that day. An estimated 7.1 million viewers have watched the first episode so far.

Set three years after the events of season 3, the latest series finds Ted taking on what is described as his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second-division women's football team. Besides Jason Sudeikis, returning stars include Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift.
