Actress Donna Air, known for her roles in Byker Grove and The Mummy Returns, is set to take part in the upcoming series of Celebrity MasterChef. The show returns to BBC One on Wednesday, June 22 at 8pm, with 20 famous faces vying for the title.
Air, 36, from Newcastle, rose to fame as Charlie Charlton in the children's TV series Byker Grove, which also launched the careers of Ant and Dec. She later toured as one half of pop duo Crush and hosted MTV Select, The Big Breakfast, and other shows.
The line-up also includes Strictly Come Dancing pro Gleb Savchenko, singer Jimmy Osmond, former TOWIE star Amy Childs, ex-EastEnders actress Laila Morse, and YouTube vlogger Marcus Butler. Olympic gold medallist boxer Audley Harrison and former rugby world cup winner Neil Back are also competing.
Celebrity MasterChef is judged by John Torode and Gregg Wallace. Last year's winner was Kimberly Wyatt. The series will air over six weeks.
