Strictly Come Dancing fans are unhappy with a change to the format of spin-off show It Takes Two, with some saying they may stop watching.
The series, which offers a glimpse behind the scenes as well as interviews with judges and dancers, has a new host, Ellie Taylor. While fans have been pleased with Ellie, they are less happy that celebrities are now interviewed separately rather than with their professional dance partners.
Fans criticise interview change
On X, Siobhan asked: 'So they're not doing interviews with the couples? Just the celebs alone?' She went on to say she 'hates the change' and likes to watch It Takes Two to see what the chemistry between the couples is like and how it's developing.
'Celebs being interviewed on their own will take some getting used to,' agreed @RyanSoapKing25. 'Watching the chemistry is the main reason I watch [It Takes Two],' added Natasha L Kingston. 'If it's not broke, don't fix it, Strictly.'
New host praised
It's not all doom and gloom in the Strictly ballroom, though, and fans were impressed with Ellie's presenting. 'Ellie Taylor is fantastic; she's a real breath of fresh air and is a natural presenter,' wrote self-confessed Strictly superfan Ryan Glendenning.
@karistbh meanwhile had very high praise, writing: 'Ellie is literally the perfect host for It Takes Two.' @FreakElectroPdn thought that Ellie Taylor proved in just one minute that she should have been in the Clauditorium and said everyone needs to give her a chance.
Ellie took over from professional dancer Janette Manrara and former contestant Fleur East. Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two airs weekdays at 6:30 pm on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
