The BBC has announced that Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon will join the professional dancer lineup for the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing, which returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer this autumn.
American-born Alexis Warr won the US dance series So You Think You Can Dance in 2022, becoming the first female Ballroom and Latin dancer to claim the title. She has performed as a guest professional and in the dance troupe on Dancing With The Stars, and has toured with judge Derek Hough.
Australian Julian Caillon has been dancing since age ten, specialising in Ballroom and Latin. He appeared on three seasons of Australia's Dancing With The Stars and has a degree in Exercise Physiology. Both dancers have performed at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, where Strictly will return for its annual special.
On joining the show, Alexis Warr said: 'I’ve admired Strictly for years, so joining this incredible family is such an honour.' Julian Caillon added: 'Joining the cast of Strictly really is a dream come true.'
They join returning professionals including Dianne Buswell, Amy Dowden, and Johannes Radebe. The judging panel remains unchanged, with Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and Shirley Ballas, while Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman return as hosts.
