The BBC has confirmed that Gladiators will return for a fourth series in 2027, alongside an all-new Celebrity Special. The show will once again take place at Sheffield Arena, with Bradley and Barney Walsh returning as hosts to guide viewers through another series of high-stakes challenges.
Series 4 promises to push competitors harder than ever, with a new event set to be revealed in due course, joining iconic classics such as Duel, Hang Tough and The Eliminator. Last year's additions Everest, Destruction and Suspension Bridge will also return after proving popular with fans. Free tickets to watch the action live are now available to request via the Applause Store website.
In a special one-off episode, four fearless celebrities will enter the arena to see whether they can withstand the pressure and claim victory. The show, produced by Hungry Bear Media and MGM Alternative UK, continues to be a major draw for the BBC, with the most recent series averaging 4.6 million viewers across BBC One and BBC iPlayer over 28 days, and proving particularly popular with younger audiences.

Gladiators (11 x 60’) and Gladiators Celebrity Special (1 x 60’) were commissioned by Kalpna Patel-Knight for BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Executive producers are Dan Baldwin, Lou Brown and Reshmi Bajnath for Hungry Bear, and Dom Bird for MGM Alternative UK. The original American Gladiators series was created by Johnny C.
