Netflix fans have uncovered what they are calling the 'best Stephen King adaptation' – the 2016 limited series 11.22.63, based on the author's 2011 time travel novel. The eight-episode show, which originally aired on Hulu in the US, recently landed on Netflix in America, prompting a surge of new viewers.
The series follows English teacher Jake Epping, played by James Franco, who is given the chance to travel back to the 1960s to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. As he gathers intelligence in the days leading up to November 22, 1963, Jake must build a new life in the past to avoid suspicion.
