Stephen Graham, the actor who won a Golden Globe for his role in Netflix's hit series Adolescence, is set to portray a diabolical serial killer in Apple TV's upcoming crime thriller Nocturne. The 10-part drama is adapted from bestselling novels Lazarus and The Sandman by Swedish author Lars Kepler.
All-Star Cast and Premise
Nocturne boasts an all-star cast including Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan) and Zazie Beetz (Joker). The series follows Jonah Lynn (Schreiber), an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who relocates from Philadelphia to a small town in Western Pennsylvania seeking a quiet life. However, his peace is shattered when the town and his family come under attack from the cunning serial killer Jurek Walter, played by Graham.
According to the official description, "As the desperate search for Jurek's last missing victim forces Jonah to send his surrogate daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer (Beetz), up against Jurek, the question becomes: how far will Jonah go?"
Release Schedule
Nocturne will premiere on Friday, October 30, on Apple TV, with the first two episodes launching on that date. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly, with the finale scheduled for Friday, December 25.
Supporting Cast
The series also features Bill Camp (The Queen's Gambit), Chrissy Metz (This Is Us), and Rory Culkin (Lord of Chaos). Graham's role marks a significant departure from his emotionally charged performance in Adolescence, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
