London has secured six spots on the inaugural Europe's 50 Best Bars list, making it the most represented city on the ranking. The list, compiled by William Reed—the publishing company behind World's 50 Best, the National Restaurant Awards, and the Top 50 Gastropubs—highlights the continent's top drinking destinations.
London's Highest-Ranked Bar
The Connaught Bar, located within the luxury Mayfair hotel, took 10th place overall and was the UK's highest-ranked bar. While cigars are no longer permitted inside, the bar retains its dramatic and theatrical ambiance, serving martinis from a table-side cart.
Other London Bars on the List
Following closely in 11th place is Satan's Whiskers in Bethnal Green, a popular haunt among London's bar industry professionals. It first entered the list in 2022 and was named the best cocktail bar in the UK a year later.
In 12th place is Tayēr + Elementary, currently relocating from its original Old Street spot. The walk-in-only bar is known for its one-sip martinis and has become a favorite among Londoners.
Waltz in Shoreditch secured 23rd place for its Japanese-inspired cocktails and interior design. Kwãnt Mayfair, headed by former Savoy mixologist Erik Lorincz, took 40th place. Three Sheets in Soho placed 41st; though no longer in Dalston, its West End branch often has queues spilling onto the streets.
The final London bar is Scarfes Bar in Covent Garden, which clinched 47th place.
