Sienna's secret revealed after cryptic phone call

Coronation Street's latest episode saw Sienna rushing off after a mystery phone call, leaving Asha Alahan confused. New spoilers have now seemingly explained the reason behind her sudden departure.

It soon emerges that Sienna's mother Sadie is about to appear on the soap, and she has dementia. Sienna has been helping to look after her mother, but things escalate next week.

Sienna's Mother Arrives on the Street

Spoilers for next week reveal that Debbie, who also has dementia, offers to help Sadie who is looking for her daughter in Weatherfield. Debbie is taken aback when Sadie snaps at her. Later, Debbie recognises Sadie on the street. Sienna rushes over, but Sadie does not recognise her and lashes out. Sienna rejects Asha's offer of help and gently leads her mother away.

Care Options Discussed

The next day, Asha and Sienna discuss her mother's dementia and various care options. Asha and Bernie do their best to convince Sienna that it is in her mother's best interests to find a good nursing home. Later, Asha explains to Dev how she accompanied Sienna, her mother and her brother to look round a nursing home, but her mother freaked out when she realised what was happening.
