The Scots crime drama Granite Harbour, which has been hailed a 'perfect watch' for Shetland fans, is now available to stream in full on BBC iPlayer.

Granite Harbour, which aired its first season in 2022, concluded just last week on August 7, with thousands of fans tuning in for the finale of the third season.
Set in Aberdeen against the city's striking granite architecture, the series follows former Royal Military Police officer Davis Lindo, played by Jamaican actor Romario Simpson, who trains as a detective alongside seasoned local DCI Lara Bartlett, portrayed by Scots actress Hannah Donaldson.
Three seasons, nine episodes
With initial dreams of working at Scotland Yard, Lindo must adapt to work in north-east Scotland as the pair investigate complex homicides together.
Granite Harbour is three seasons long with just three episodes per series that are each just under an hour long. In each series, the team's detectives have a different investigation to solve with new side characters so the show's earlier seasons do not link to the most recent one.
Fan reactions
All nine episodes of the Scots drama is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer. Fans of the drama on IMDb hailed it a 'bingeworthy' watch with many pleased to enjoy scenes of Aberdeen in the background.
One wrote: "I binged this entertaining three-part show in one day. I liked the talented cast and found the writing to be clever. It's refreshing to watch shows that feature diverse casts."
Another praised the show's Aberdeen setting as they wrote: "I was enthralled with the first series. I just binged the 3 episodes and really hope it's renewed for a second series. It was a great choice to set it in Aberdeen - yet wasn't full of the North East cliches you often get when something's set in Aberdeen."
"I lived down at Aberdeen Harbour for years, and it was great seeing it like I remember it - rather than seeing the gentrification that's already taken place."
A third gushed: "We love everything about this show, the storyline, the characters, the interaction between characters, the twists and turns. Highly recommend this show. There are many moments of smiling at the conversations and the interaction between characters. It is also a joy to follow the story line and try to anticipate the actions and results. All of the actors and actresses are great. They really make the characters believable and are very realistic. Also, 3 episodes a season is not nearly enough - give us more."
Someone else echoed: "I'm from Aberdeen, but now live in New Zealand. I'm likely biased, but I love this! I reckon the stories are good and a lot of the acting is good as well. The scenery is great and the stories kept me watching. After I finished the first series - in one sitting - I was looking forward to the second one. Two episodes in and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I love seeing Aberdeen on TV. It's great to see a police drama being filmed there."
Another less enthusiastic review read: "It may not be absolutely unique, or groundbreaking, and I cannot judge just how regionally accurate the accents are (apparently nobody from elsewhere moves to Aberdeen), but the mystery is good and there are plenty of red herrings."
